Maybe the best place to start is an explanation of a name that has a unique origin and is important to share.\u00a0 Pronounced \u2013 My-lee \u2013 my name is derived from a Hawaiian flower, which my Dad discovered during his tour on the USS Kearsarge, a US Navy aircraft carrier in the Pacific Ocean.\u00a0 The only reason I have not adopted my middle name (never mind) to make life easier is because of my Dad\u2019s involvement.<\/p>\n

Anyway, I was raised in a small town in southern Colorado where winters were long and cold.\u00a0 I really believed every kid in the world got to explore the Sand Dunes National Monument for one school day each spring.\u00a0 Life was carefree and emphasized my education and my love for music.\u00a0 Right on schedule, I graduated from high school and proceeded to Colorado State University where I spent four years earning my Bachelor\u2019s in Business Administration, with a concentration in Computer Information Systems.<\/p>\n
My next predictable step was to take a job in corporate America and move across the country to Michigan where my company provided data processing services for a large insurance company.\u00a0 I dutifully fulfilled my role and proceeded to the second phase of training, right on schedule.\u00a0 My second major relocation took place within 18 months of the first, and I arrived in Dallas, Texas.\u00a0 Culture shock can happen inside the boundaries of the United States.\u00a0 Trust me!<\/p>\n
Five years after my national tour began, my Colorado homing signal started to sound.\u00a0 I took a position I did not want to live closer to family and return to my home state.\u00a0 Within a few years, my priorities were out of balance, my health was deteriorating and all I did was work.<\/p>\n
On September 10, 2001, my career ended in a difference of perspective on the management of a project.\u00a0 The next morning as airliners flew into the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center, my mind was still reeling from the previous day\u2019s events.\u00a0 I felt the anger and frustration of the terrorist attacks, but my personal battles were more real.\u00a0 Who in the world would attack the United States so blatantly?<\/p>\n
In the years that followed, I took jobs that were far beneath my experience even though I was applying for every type of job imaginable.\u00a0 I finally discovered that my course had to change.\u00a0 Time had arrived to chart my own course and make money without an employer in my way. \u00a0Duty and obligation are no longer the drivers in my life. \u00a0You probably learned this lesson much earlier than I did.<\/p>\n
Most recently, I was an independent copywriter and frustrated with the lack of money in that game.\u00a0 Surprisingly, there are entirely too many people clogging up the works with their inability to write a complete sentence.\u00a0 Without great direct clients, one could starve to death in that game.<\/p>\n
As the picture of my future has come into focus, I have discovered the importance of my experiences, professional and personal. \u00a0All of my gifts and talents make up the person I am today. \u00a0My greatest challenge is to channel all of those into the lives of others. \u00a0This site is intended to help others with the fine art of teaching – regardless of the forum.<\/p>\n
Everyone I meet has a set of talents and experiences that are beneficial to others. \u00a0As we interact, I can identify countless ways to help others to reach an audience. \u00a0Regardless of the media used, your training can be life-changing for the person who is seeking your insight.<\/p>\n
From the outset, I noticed that too many people were only interested until they separated people from their money.\u00a0 I knew that the time had come to change course.\u00a0 My experience in the Internet world would provide discernment for my return to the business world that I had left behind.<\/p>\n
